Chief Software Architect, Didier Dambrin has realized his vision of creating an open-architecture virtual studio environment where the only constraint on the users is their own imagination. This philosophy is reflected in FL Studio 7’s flexible audio and control data routing, free-form Playlist design and interoperability with industry standards (VST/VSTi/VST2, DXi, DXi2, Buzz, ReWire, MIDI, MP3, WAV, OGG). FL Studio is a fully featured, open-architecture music creation and production environment for PC. Instruments

Arranging

ASIO FX Processor SE (Standard Edition) is a VST 2.0 and ASIO 2.0 host combined in a standalone application that works as a real-time multi-effects processor and can be used for playing VST instruments. Thanks to ASIO, today audio cards are capable of streaming audio with a very low latency down to a few milliseconds.
This means that you can plug an audio source, like a guitar, microphone, external synth out for example, into input of your audio card that supports ASIO 2.0, run the ASIO FX Processor SE, select the input you would like to take the sound from and output for monitoring, load VST plugins you want to process the sound in real-time and start the streaming. The application will take the sound from card's input, pass it through the loaded VST plugin and output it back to audio card output for monitoring. You can also load one VST instrument and play it live with any MIDI source like keyboard or from your sequencer through a midi loopback driver. The delay between audio or midi input and audio output will be very low, just unrecognizable for most of pro audio cards available on the market.
ASIO FX Processor SE supports running multiple instances, so if you need to process more than one input you can run a second ASIO FX Processor SE instance and set it to take sound from other input. The outputs can be the same - ASIO driver will mix the signals automatically and in-sync. The state of the application that includes loaded plugins, their state and setups, all midi settings and I/O routing can be saved as setup file, so that you can quickly restore the multi-instance configurations.
